Apostle Shelia Alamin-Khashoggi is the founding pastor of True Christian Ministries, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has been in ministry for over 25 years and was ordained an apostle in 2007 by Apostle Franklin Frisby, General Overseer of The Ambassador for Christ Global Celebration Churches in Orlando, Florida. He let her know that the calling on her life was just not pastor but an apostle to go into government.
Called by God to be a prophetess in 1999, God gave her Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry." Apostle Shelia Alamin-Khashoggi walked out of her job at the Department of Social Services and has walked by faith ever since. The vision became reality in 2003 in the form of True Christian Ministries, Inc. In 2007 Apostle Alamin-Khashoggi was ordained an Apostle to set order in the Kingdom of God. Apostle Frisby told her that the calling on her life was just not pastor but also an apostle to go into government. This prophetic word is reflected in her educational nad professional pursuits. Her life and walk continue to personify this faith-based ministry. She lives by the Hebrews 11:1 definition of faith; and knows that her ministry was developed of things not seen. Apostle Alamin-Khashoggi steadfastly holds onto 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” She has traveled the world as she continues to do the will of God.
Apostle Alamin-Khashoggi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration with a minor in Political Science from Shaw University and a certificate in campaign management from Civitas Institute in 2008. She graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2010 with a Masters in Public Administration. And, in 2014, she earned a Masters of Religious Education degree from Shaw Divinity School. She utilized her degrees through her extensive experience in the political realm. Some of her accomplishments have been as the first African American, male or female, to run for one of the At-Large seats on the Raleigh City Council, the first chair of the Raleigh Police Advisory Board and Chair of the Human Relations Board.
Under the umbrella of True Christian Ministries, Inc. (TCM) is the J. T. Locke Resource Center, Inc. She founded and developed this flagship program to serve low income and at-risk youth and their parents. Her 20+ years as a community advocate have given her the experience and insight into the difficulties of transitioning families. The program designed for children K-12 provided a safe, loving place to strengthen the children academically and provided holistic assistance in areas that were challenging for the youth no only in the resource centers' afterschool program but also in its summer camps. Please see the programs page for more on the many programs and services she provides.
